In the southwest corner of Decatur lies Oakhurst. Only six miles east of Downtown Atlanta, Oakhurst is bounded by College Avenue in the North, Pharr Road in the South, Candler Drive in the East and Second Avenue in the West. With the intention of becoming a streetcar suburb in 1892. Oakhurst is a residential community known for its walkability and community engagement. postwar mid-century homes.
